Cycling tours in the Kaiserwinkl
For families and anyone wanting to relax in nature, there are eight easy and intermediate bike routes near the Seehotel Brunner, which are all suitable for e-bikes. Altogether, you will find over 180 km of family-friendly bike paths and trails to take you through the breath-taking natural scenery surrounding the Kaiser Mountains. More experienced mountain bikers have the chance to challenge themselves on 125 km of different trails of varying levels of difficulty. Experience the diversity of this great terrain! Habersau-Feldalm
This trail starts directly around the corner from the Seehotel Brunner and leads through an enchanted forest, up to the beautiful Feldalm pasture.
Distance: 12.5 km
Travel time: about 1 ½ to 2 hours
Climb: 650 m
Difficulty: black (difficult)
Gwirchtalm
From the village centre of Walchsee you bike along a forest path to the Gwirchtalm cabin, where you can enjoy the view and a cool drink.
Distance: 8.5 km
Travel time: approx. 1 to 1 ½ hours
Climb: 400 m
Difficulty: red (medium)
Karalm
Follow this trail through an enchanted forest and up a wonderful alpine pasture! Once you reach the top, you will be rewarded with a stunning view of the Inn Valley, the Bavarian Alps and the Zahmer Kaiser Mountain.
Distance: 8 km
Travel time: about 1 ½ to 2 hours
Climb: 900 m
Difficulty: red (medium)
Haraualm
This bike tour begins at Walchsee Lake and ends in a quiet clearing, with a fantastic view of the Wilder Kaiser and Unterberghorn Mountains, as well as the Hohe Tauern mountain range.
Distance: 6 km
Travel time: 1 ¼ hours
Climb: 300 m
Difficulty: blue to red (easy to medium)
Miesberg-Seerunde
Ride comfortably around Lake Walchsee. If you need to cool down, the refreshing water is always at your disposal.
Distance: 10 km
Travel time: 1 to 1 ½ hours
Difficulty: blue (easy)
Kaiserwinkl bike path
This is the best way to explore the Kaiserwinkl region. The path leads you from the village of Walchsee to the village of Koessen and back again.
Distance: 20 km
Travel time: 2 ½ hours
Difficulty: blue (easy)
Leukental bike path
From the lower terminus of the Unterberghorn cable car in Koessen, the Leukental bike path leads you through fields and forests, alongside the wild waters of the Koessen river.
Distance: 15 km
Travel time: 1 ½ hours
Difficulty: blue (easy)
Bike Trail Tyrol - stage 1:
The first stage of this popular bike trail leads from Kufstein to the foot of the Zahmer Kaiser Mountain, via St. Nikolaus, and on to the villages of Durchholzen and Oed. After a climb up to the Habersaualm pasture, you’ll ride comfortably through the Habersau valley towards the picturesque village of Kranzach, right by Lake Walchsee. From there, you can ride back to Koessen.
Bike Trail Tyrol - stage 2:
The second stage, leading from Koessen to Kitzbuehel, poses another challenge. After that, you will ride over the famous Kitzbuehel Horn pass to the final destination point, the town of Kitzbuehel.
