Tratzberg Castle

Experience 500 years of history in one of the most beautiful late Gothic castles in Europe. Schloss Tratzberg was first recorded in the 13th century and, as a former border fortress against Bavaria, served as a hunting castle for Emperor Maximilian I.

Swarovski Kristallwelten - Wattens

Silver Mines Schwaz

At the height of its prosperity around 1500, Schwaz was the largest mining town of the known world. Around 85% of the silver produced worldwide came from Schwaz. The silver mine, the biggest of medieval times, can be visited daily until Novemberfen.

Sheer cliff faces surround the emerald-green Königssee Lake at Berchtesgaden. Located between the Watzmann Mountain in the west and the Jenner in the east, this lake fills the entire valley, and is up to 190 meters deep, eight kilometres long and over a kilometre wide in places.
